Zitron Australia Pty Ltd is a growing, ventilation fan manufacturing company, suppling industrial fan units to the mining and road tunnel sector, based in the southern suburbs of Perth.An exciting opportunity exists for a talented HSEQ Assistant, to join the fast-growing Australian arm of an international group that is a global leader in the field of ventilation for underground mines, road and railway tunnels, and metro systems.The company is part of a group that operates in over 80 countries on 5 continents. In Australia, the company has supplied the ventilation required for the construction and long-term operation of many of the nation's major underground transport infrastructure projects.Qualifications & experience:Previous experience in a health, safety, or quality environment is highly desirable, especially in industries like manufacturing or engineering.Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and general quality control processAn advantage to have internal audit certificate.Experience in understanding the basics of mechanical and structural engineering and in applying different Australian and international standards i.e. AS 4100Capable of working under pressure and in a multicultural environment.An advantage to have experience within steel fabrication / manufacturing industry, including knowledge of material standards and welding symbols in Australia.An advantage to have knowledge of welding, fabrication, design principles.Ability to apply safety regulations and policies in real-world situationsPermit to work in AustraliaTasks & responsibilities:Reporting directly to the HSEQ Manager and Project Managers on project specific matters the key responsibilities required of the successful applicant would be, but not limited to:Assisting in Inspections and Testing: Assist and help conduct inspections and tests on products or processes to ensure they meet quality standards.Documentation: Document findings, including defects or areas for improvement, and may assist in creating and updating quality control policies.Data Analysis: Assist in monitoring and analysing health, safety, environment and quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Communication: Communicate health, safety, environment and quality issues to relevant personnel, such as managers, technicians, and other team members.Support: Provide support to the health, safety, environment and quality control team in various tasks, such as organizing paperwork, calibrating equipment, and assisting in the implementation of quality control policies.Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulations.Problem Solving: Identify and resolve quality issues, often under the guidance of a HSEQ Manager.Job Offer:The role on offer is based in the company office in Perth (Hope Valley), and the commitment and passion to drive innovation that you will bring to it will be rewarded with a commensurate remuneration package.You will have the opportunity to stamp your mark on a role that can broaden your skill set and to allow you to be an important part of a successful company that can offer exciting career opportunities.
