In this role, you will analyze human genomic data, support genetic discovery projects, and contribute to scientific insights that advance precision medicine and human health. If you love decoding complex biological patterns and turning raw data into meaningful findings, this role will fit you perfectly.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze human genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic datasets using statistical and computational methods.Conduct variant calling, annotation, and interpretation of genetic mutations.Support research studies focused on disease associations, population genetics, and functional genomics.Develop and maintain data pipelines, workflows, and QC procedures.Review scientific literature to stay current with advancements in genomics and bioinformatics.Prepare research summaries, visualizations, and reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including bioinformaticians, clinicians, and molecular biologists.Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and data-privacy guidelines in handling human genetic information.QualificationsMaster’s degree or PhD in Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.Strong proficiency in genomic data analysis tools (e.g., GATK, PLINK, bcftools) and programming languages (Python, R, Shell).Solid understanding of human genetics principles such as Mendelian inheritance, GWAS, and population structure.Experience working with NGS data (WGS, WES, RNA-seq).Ability to interpret complex biological data and communicate insights clearly.Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP) is a plus.Strong attention to detail, scientific curiosity, and problem-solving mindset.Preferred SkillsExperience with machine learning methods applied to genomics.Knowledge of single-cell sequencing technologies.Hands-on experience with CRISPR, functional assays, or wet-lab techniques.Publications or conference presentations in genetics or bioinformatics.
