Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and organised HR Associate to join our Zambia team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of core HR practices and labour laws in Zambia, combined with strong administrative and coordination skills. This is a mid-level role suited for someone who enjoys being both strategic support and an on-the-ground doer, ensuring smooth HR operations, excellent employee experience, and compliance with company and statutory requirements.Key Responsibilities HR Operations & AdministrationManage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, preparing letters, and updating HR databasesHandle onboarding and offboarding processes for Zambia employees, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliantSupport the coordination of payroll inputs, statutory deductions, and benefits administrationAct as the first point of contact for HR queries and ensure timely resolutionMaintain filing systems, HR documentation, and correspondence Employee Relations & ComplianceSupport the implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with Zambia's labour lawsLiaise with regulatory authorities for compliance-related matters (e.g., NAPSA, NHIMA, ZRA)Assist in managing employee grievances and disciplinary processes in collaboration with other team members Talent Acquisition & OnboardingCoordinate interview scheduling and documentation for Zambia employeesSupport the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration of new hires. Employee Experience & EngagementSupport HR initiatives around engagement, communication, and well-beingCoordinate recognition programs, team events, and culture-building activities. Reporting & HRIS ManagementMaintain accurate HR data and generate routine reports for the Zambia entity, e.g, Leave reportCollaborate with the HR Data team to ensure systems and records are up to dateQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or related field. At least 3–5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within a growing or multi-entity organisation. Strong knowledge of Zambia's labour laws and statutory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus. Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) or eligible for membership.
