Position OverviewOur client, a leading manufacturing company in Mississauga, ON, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support their growing operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment and enjoys partnering directly with leadership and employees to drive engagement, compliance, and organizational performance.The HRBP will serve as a strategic and operational partner responsible for the full employee lifecycle—including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy development, training, and payroll administration.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with plant leadership and department managers to align HR strategies with operational and organizational goals.Manage end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with provincial and federal regulations.Administer benefits, attendance, and timekeeping systems; reconcile payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.Provide guidance on employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution in compliance with employment legislation and company policies.Support talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding for plant and office roles.Lead performance management, training, and employee development initiatives.Support health & safety programs, ensuring compliance with WSIB and occupational safety standards.Maintain and update HRIS records, personnel files, and payroll documentation.Assist with compensation reviews, policy updates, diversity & inclusion efforts, and workforce planning.Serve as a trusted advisor to management, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (CHRP designation preferred).5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years supporting a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proven experience handling full-cycle payroll and HR administration in Ontario.Strong knowledge of Employment Standards Act (ESA), OHSA, and WSIB requirements.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust with both leadership and front-line employees.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, union or non-union manufacturing environment.Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, Workday) and advanced MS Office skills.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability)RRSP matching programPaid time off, holidays, and employee wellness initiativesOpportunities for career growth within a stable and expanding manufacturing organization
