Human Resources Business Partner (Temporary – Parental Leave Coverage)Location: Mississauga – hybrid 3 days/week in office Are you a seasoned HR professional passionate about supporting teams and driving positive workplace culture? Our client is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their team on a temporary full-time basis to cover a parental leave; approximately 1 year. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact across our business units.Key Responsibilities:As a trusted HR advisor, you will:Provide strategic guidance on employee relations to foster a positive and productive work environment.Stay current on HR trends, employment legislation, and labour market dynamics.Support managers with employee development, performance management, and disciplinary processes.Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment efforts as needed.Administer health and safety programs, ensuring compliance, training, and ergonomic awareness.Conduct workplace investigations related to harassment, violence, injury, and illness.Facilitate workplace accommodations and return-to-work plans.Manage claims related to workplace injury or illness, liaising with provincial bodies (e.g., WSIB).Oversee employee leave programs including disability, maternity, and personal leaves.Participate in HR initiatives and special projects.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Post-secondary education in Human Resources; CHRP designation or working towards certification preferred.At least 5 years of progressive senior HR experience.Ability to travel within North America when required (this included an active passport to cross borders).Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.Adaptable and able to lead through change.Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation.
