Role DescriptionOur client is seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner (HRBP) to oversee all HR responsibilities for their operations in Tokyo, Japan. The HRBP will play a crucial role in managing HR operations, supporting business growth, and ensuring smooth HR activities. This includes talent management, performance evaluations, employee relations, and compliance with local labor laws. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Mandarin and Japanese and have a strong understanding of local HR practices and labor laws in Japan. ResponsibilitiesDeeply engage in the Japanese market in line with the company’s overall development strategy, understand business and personnel development, and promote the achievement of strategic goals through the operation of various HR functions.Implement and drive the execution of headquarters’ HR policies in Japan, providing effective feedback and improvement based on execution results.Support business departments in all HR modules, provide professional advice and solutions, and ensure effective implementation.Build a talent pipeline in the Japan region and develop the skills of employees in key positions.Ensure the efficient and orderly operation of daily administrative work in the Japan office: assist headquarters in updating company policies, support planning and execution of internal activities (such as team building and meetings), and handle routine administrative matters including visitor reception and document management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.3-5 years of relevant HR experience, with working experience in Japan in a similar HRBP or HR-related role.Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices in Japan. Excellent communication skills in relevant languages: Chinese , English, and JapaneseProven experience in employee relations, talent management, and HR policy implementation.Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-cultural teams.Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing is a plus.Flexibility and adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic work environments.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
