This is about being the trusted HR expert for our managers across our nationwide store network - helping them nail the fundamentals and get the best from and for their teams, every day.You'll be the go-to person for practical HR advice, working alongside two other HR Business Partners and reporting to our Chief People Officer. You'll travel regularly around Auckland and beyond to be where your managers need you. The phrase "You can take the person out of the store, but you can't take the store out of the person" will resonate with you.Your Day-to-DaySupport managers with recruitment, performance conversations, remuneration decisions, and developing their peopleSolve problems - spot trends, address localised people issues, and implement practical solutionsDrive talent conversations - succession planning, identifying high performers, and supporting career progressionLead on the ground - new store openings, restructures, culture initiativesChampion safety - maintain H&S knowledge, support safety initiatives, ensure incident reportingDeliver results - support managers to achieve their people targets (engagement, leave management, absence, training compliance)What You BringMust-havesHR qualification or solid equivalent experienceStrong employment relations advisory chops with runs on the boardProven ability to coach and influence managers at all levelsDeep experience in recruitment, performance management, change, and L&DExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilitiesYou AreA natural relationship-builder who managers seek out and with whom they'll toss around ideasComfortable among people from all walks of lifePractical and solution-focused - you balance competing priorities without breaking a sweatEnergised by fast-paced retail environmentsGenuinely passionate about helping people succeedHappy to hit the road when neededWhy You'll Love It HereProfessional development - we invest in growing your capability and you'll have opportunities to mentor othersVariety - no two days are the same (recruitment one hour, ER issue the next, a focus on developing team and managers after that.
