Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Employee Relations, the Human Resources Business Partner serves as liaison between St. Joseph's/Candler Human Resources and assigned business units of SJCHS. The HRBP will work with the business units to ensure they are in compliance with federal and state law and other applicable regulations as it relates to employment, benefits, discrimination, and the disciplinary process. Additionally, the HRBP will support the Manager, Employee Relations with various tasks related to Employee Relations.EducationBachelors in Human Resources, Business, or other business-related field - RequiredExperience3 - 5 Years Human Resources - RequiredAdditional Experience Information - Knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs. Knowledge and understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards.License & CertificationProfessional Certification - PreferredCertification in Human Resources or related field preferredCore Job FunctionsAttend Manager meetings as appropriate. Makes rounds to all off site locations as needed. Process paperwork for business units to facilitate data entry. Assist with benefit enrollments and changes.Provides assistance, support and consultation on basic to mid-level employee relations issues to Managers and Co-Workers to ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements.Screen applications and code with applicable status in the Applicant Tracking system. Process candidate references, background, credit, motor vehicle checks, rehire status for applicants and logs/files interview notes. Coordinate temp agency staffing as appropriate.Assist with various projects ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and applicable regulations and SJ/C Policies as they relate to employment, discrimination, sexual harassment, disciplinary process, problem resolution, unemployment compensation, wage and hour, benefits and immigration.
