[ Global Retail Company - People Engagement Director ]PURPOSEThe People Engagement Director leads a global retail company’s integrated people strategy across Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Internal Communication.This role is pivotal in shaping a unified culture, elevating employee engagement, and delivering a consistent people experience that enhances both organizational performance and brand equity.RESPONSIBILITIES1. Strategic Talent Acquisition & Employer BrandingLead end-to-end recruitment strategies across corporate, domestic retail, and travel retail channels, linking talent acquisition to business growth.Drive workforce planning and partner with leadership to align talent acquisition with business growth.Strengthen employer branding through digital campaigns, career website enhancement, and active storytelling on recruitment platforms and blogs.Build and sustain strong talent pipelines by managing agencies, universities, and industry networks.Utilize data-driven insights to optimize recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) across all hiring practices. 2. Learning & DevelopmentDevelop and execute a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with business priorities and Group direction, focusing on leadership and capability development.Oversee the design and delivery of leadership, soft-skill, and retail capability programs that drive performance and growth.Accelerate digital learning transformation through e-Learning platforms, content curation, and data analytics.Collaborate with regional and global HR partners to localize group initiatives effectively.Manage budgets, vendors, and training evaluation processes to ensure sustainable and impactful learning outcomes. 3. Employee Experience & Organizational CultureDrive internal communication to foster clarity, connection, and organizational belonging, enhancing overall employee experience.Develop and manage communication channels, town halls, newsletters, and key company events that reinforce company’s identity and values.Elevate employee engagement through recognition programs, cultural initiatives, and CSR activities.Partner with marketing and PR to align internal storytelling with external brand positioning.Oversee planning and execution of organization-wide events, conferences, and culture-building initiatives. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.10+ years of progressive HR experience, including talent acquisition, L&D, and people engagement.Proven success in leading large-scale recruitment across corporate and retail channels.Experience in luxury, retail, or premium consumer industries preferred.Strategic, data-driven leader with strong business acumen and cultural sensitivity.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Korean.Skilled in employer branding, engagement, and organizational culture development.Collaborative, innovative, and integrity-driven with a growth mindset.※ This position requires native-level Korean communication skills, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
