As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting NAMB’s mission by assisting with recruitment, missionary endorsement, and HR operations. Your work will directly support our employees and missionaries as they serve churches and communities across North America.About The RoleAs part of the HR Operations team, the Human Resources Generalist provides hands-on support throughout the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to missionary endorsement and Workday system maintenance. This role works collaboratively with HR leadership and team members to ensure smooth processes, accurate data management, and a positive experience for employees and missionaries alike.Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Employee LifecycleAssist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including job postings, candidate screenings, and reference checks.Provide administrative support to hiring managers, ensuring a consistent and positive candidate experience.Maintain accurate employee records and help facilitate new hire, transfer, and termination processes.Missionary Endorsement & Ministry SupportSupport Regional Directors and HR leadership in managing the missionary endorsement process.Assist missionary candidates with application steps, documentation, and status updates.Track and maintain records of missionary applications and endorsements.Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with ministry guidelines and timely communication.Workday Support & HR SystemsAssist HR teams in Workday with data entry, updates, and basic troubleshooting.Collaborate with HR Operations Workday Champions to test improvements and support system reliability.Help conduct audits and validations to ensure data integrity and compliance.Respond to HR system inquiries and escalate issues as needed.Collaboration & ComplianceSupport HR projects, initiatives, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.Maintain discretion when handling sensitive employee or missionary information.Follow organizational policies and applicable employment laws.Demonstrate a servant-hearted approach and commitment to teamwork.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience (minimum 1–2 years) in related fields such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Support.Experience in HR operations or talent acquisition.Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS systems.Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Preferred:HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR).Experience with project coordination or HR analytics tools.Physical & Personal QualitiesAbility to sit, talk, and hear regularly, with occasional standing and walking.Capable of light lifting (up to 10 pounds).Warm, energetic, and approachable personality with a heart for service.Active member of a local church and aligned with NAMB’s mission and values.Exhibits integrity, humility, and a collaborative spirit.Why NAMB?Join a purpose-driven organization dedicated to equipping churches and ministries to spread the hope of Christ across North America.We offer:Opportunities to serve in a faith-based environment focused on community and spiritual growth.The chance to support churches and ministries as they live out their calling.Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.Competitive retirement plans to secure your future.Disability insurance for peace of mind.Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and flexible hybrid work arrangements.A team culture built on integrity, teamwork, and purpose.Be part of something meaningful — apply today and help us equip churches and ministries to fulfill their mission with passion and purpose!
