Job DescriptionThe Human Resource Generalist in Berwick, PA will run the daily functions of the HR Department. This is a day-to-day, employee facing role responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations including benefits, leaves of absence, and enforcing company policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in shaping the work culture, promoting employee engagement, and driving talent development to support a thriving and productive manufacturing environment. ResponsibilitiesManage the hiring process of hourly employees including job posting, prescreening, scheduling onsite interviews, new hire orientation and onboarding. Facilitating pre-employment screenings.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to; benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, recognition and morale. Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate manager. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations. Providing coaching to supervisors when needed. Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Assisting with the implementation and training of all HR policies and procedures.
Maintain all personnel files both physical copies and input in HRIS (ADP)Weekly and Monthly reporting and record keeping. QualificationsMinimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist preferrable in the fields of manufacturing or constructionExperience in Leaves of Absence including FMLA, ADA reasonable accommodations and Short/Long Term DisabilityProficient in HRIS systems, preferable ADPExcellent Verbal and Written Communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to prioritize work and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAdditional InformationBenefitsThe Salary Range for this position is $63,700 - $75,000 annual base salary + annual performance bonus.
