Vision: Rethink the ordinary—make learning fun, effective, and accessible.Role OverviewOversee all human resources functions within the organization, ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry best practices. This role is responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits and overall organizational development.Key Responsibilities1) Recruitment & Workforce PlanningDevelop and implement effective sourcing strategies to fill a wide range of roles, including customer support, technical positions, operational, and leadership roles across multiple regions.Work closely with internal teams to plan staffing needs, align on hiring timelines, and define budget expectations for each client account.Optimize pipeline: reduce time-to-fill, improve quality of hire, and meet SLAs for hiring rate.2) Employee and Independent Contractor Lifecycle & RelationsOversee the full lifecycle of employees and independent contractors (ICs), from onboarding to offboarding—ensuring seamless documentation, background verification (as applicable), equipment allocation, systems access, and secure deprovisioning.Manage and maintain all employment and contractor documentation, including contracts, service agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), extensions, and renewals, while upholding proper classification and compliance protocols for non-employees.Serve as a trusted partner and liaison for employees and contractors—addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and managing grievances with professionalism, empathy, and SLA-driven responsiveness.Foster a connected remote culture through engagement initiatives such as virtual town halls, recognition programs, and defined growth pathways for long-term independent contractors.Lead retention and engagement strategies to cultivate satisfaction, loyalty, and a strong sense of belonging across both employee and contractor communities.3) Compliance, Risk, and Policy Oversight Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment standards, and regulatory requirements across multiple regions—including the U.S. and the Philippines—covering areas such as employee relations, contractor engagement, and region-specific workplace practices.Uphold proper worker classification and proactively mitigate co-employment and misclassification risks through close coordination with Operations and Finance on contracts, documentation, invoicing, and audit preparedness.Oversee the design, implementation, and enforcement of the company’s Code of Conduct, HR and operational policies, and disciplinary procedures—ensuring clarity, fairness, and consistent application across geographies.Safeguard data privacy and information security by enforcing NDAs, IP assignment agreements, and data protection protocols (including DPA and GDPR considerations) in compliance with both client and organizational standards.Maintain and communicate accessible policies covering remote work, information security, acceptable use, and workplace behavior—promoting a culture of accountability, integrity, and compliance.4) Performance, Productivity & DevelopmentImplement structured performance frameworks for employees and independent contractors (scorecards and audit alignment).Enable supervisor coaching, coordinate L&D for onboarding, soft skills, and certifications.Run calibration sessions with Ops/QA; ensure corrective action processes are fair, documented, and compliant.5) Analytics & ReportingOwn dashboards: headcount, fill rate, attrition/churn, engagement, payroll accuracy/timeliness, and compliance status.Provide weekly/monthly leadership readouts; translate insights into action plans.6) Cross-Cultural Collaboration & Change EnablementFacilitate U.S.–Philippines alignment on communication norms, holidays/shift coverage, and feedback practices.Run change management for policy/process updates, drive adoption through training, documentation, and enablement.QualificationsAt least 2+ years HR experience, including 2+ years in BPO environments and managing independent contractors in the Philippines and employees in the United States.Proven strength in recruitment, stakeholder management, and remote team engagement.Working knowledge of contractor models, rate cards, and cross-border practices (U.S. Based supporting various countries).Excellent English communication, stakeholder influence, and data-driven decision-making.Comfortable working across U.S. time zones and adapting to dynamic shifting ramp-up schedules.PreferredExperience with HRIS/ATS and global contractor/payroll platforms; strong GSuite/MS 365 skills.Background in one or more regulated accounts (e.g., healthcare/HIPAA, fintech, e‑commerce trust & safety).HR certifications (e.g., PHR/SPHR, aPHRi/PHRi) are a plus.
