The Role: Serve as a primary point of contact for guest group leaders throughout their retreat stay. Greet groups upon arrival, review event details, provide orientation to the property, and set expectations for the weekend.
Provide active guest support throughout the event by responding to questions, needs, or issues via messenger and in person. Coordinate with other departments (kitchen, facilities, activities) as needed to ensure group satisfaction and smooth operations. Complete daily operational tasks, including setting up signage, delivering snacks, building campfires, removing trash from all guest spaces, and checking in on group meeting areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness. Assist with group arrival and departure by preparing and cleaning up spaces. Maintain clear communication with other Hosts, the Guest Group Coordinator, and on-call staff through shift notes in Teams and direct handoffs.
Uphold a welcoming and hospitable presence for all guests, demonstrating a Christ-like attitude and professional demeanor at all times. Represent Hume New England’s mission and values throughout every guest interaction. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
