Provide high-quality customer service by responding to client and family account inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring transparency and resolution of financial matters. What you’ll be doing:
Process and manage invoices, payments, and reimbursements for Aged & Disability Services (ADS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with funding guidelines, Council policies, and the Aged Care Act. Set up and maintain debtor accounts, ensuring all client financial records are up to date and accurately reflect service usage and charges. Support outstanding debts and assist in debt recovery processes, including liaising with clients, families, and external agencies to negotiate payment arrangements. Ensure all financial transactions adhere to Council financial controls, funding agreements, and aged care financial regulations. Support audits and financial reporting processes by preparing and providing required documentation.
Respond promptly and professionally to account-related inquiries from clients, families, internal teams, and external agencies, ensuring clear communication of fees, payments, and account status. Provide guidance to clients and their representatives on payment options. Maintain financial data in client management systems (e. g. , CareLink or other relevant platforms), ensuring information is accurately entered and updated. The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
Skilled in gathering appropriate information to inform Aged and Disability - Senior Business and Financial Support Ability to support internal staff and external clients with appropriate information to ensure their queries are met within the scope of the role. Demonstrated awareness and understanding of issues confronting older people and people with disabilities. Demonstrated knowledge of additional relevant community support agencies and service providers. Experience in accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and financial administration. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in financial systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge of computer software systems utilised in a community setting. Required Certifications & Qualifications: Certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and financial administration.
