DescriptionA unique leadership opportunity has arisen to lead a high-performing, New Zealand-based health and wellness distribution business as it enters a transformative phase of growth and development. About The CompanyThis privately owned business, based in Hawkes Bay, with a strong foundation in wholesale sales of consumer products across New Zealand and a growing presence in Australia, is now seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to succeed its founder and drive the next strategic chapter of performance and expansion.

With an impressive growth story, a purpose-built digital platform in place and a suite of compelling strategic opportunities on the horizon, there is room for internal structural optimisation to enable scalable growth. About The RoleThe incoming Chief Executive will take full responsibility for the overall performance of the business, including P&L leadership, strategy execution, and the optimisation of people, systems and operations. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team across customer service, operations, warehousing, marketing, finance and specialist sales, along with experienced external advisers.

About YouYou are a commercially astute and people-centred executive with proven experience scaling businesses within health & wellness, consumer healthcare, or adjacent FMCG sectors. You thrive in environments where strategic thinking and entrepreneurial agility intersect, and you’re confident leading through the opportunities and complexities of a founder-led transition.

Key Priorities Will IncludeDriving growth across New Zealand and into AustraliaEstablishing a high-performing senior leadership teamOptimising systems, operations and supply chain processesStrengthening brand relationships and customer propositionsLaying the foundations for a potential capital event within five yearsKey Attributes IncludePrior experience as CEO/MD/GM with full P&L accountabilityStrong commercial acumen, margin management and financial rigourExperience across both the New Zealand and Australian markets (preferred)Demonstrated ability to build high-performing leadership teams and cultureDeep understanding of operational improvement, sales, marketing and supply chainStrategic mindset with strong executional capability to embed a continuous improvement cultureCollaborative and outcomes-focused leadership style This is an opportunity to lead a well-established and values-led organisation through its next phase of growth, with the full backing of its founder and a clearly defined long-term vision.
