Job Description

We are seeking a creative and dynamic individual that has experience in resort sales and marketing to be our Director of Sales and Marketing at our golf, wellness, and outdoor adventure resort in Southern Oregon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts to drive revenue and maximize profitability for the resort with the ultimate goal of positioning the property as a year-round destination and a resort that families and groups will select as their vacation destination. Responsibilities:

Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans to create year-round activities and adventures for guests and groups. Lead the relationship with partners to create unique guest experiencesPartner with the local tourism agency to identify media and influencer marketing opportunities Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets for each amenity described as Golf, Spa, Restaurant and Group sales. Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team to ensure exceptional performance. Lead the social media team and staff to create calendars for constant updates.

Build and maintain strong relationships with local and state clients, partners, and stakeholders. Develop pricing and market strategies with the Revenue Manager, constant monitoring of competition and marketplace in general; must be prepared and able to react under fluctuating market conditions. Oversee the Creative agency for PPC and Social ads, manage the email marketing companyOversee the Group sales third party marketing company to ensure quality and quantity of group leads to meet goals.

Prepare and execute annual marketing plan, promotion and advertising plans covering sales, food and beverage events, hotel promotions, group sales, golf and spa marketing, media relations as well as participating in multiple property campaigns. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. Oversee the development of marketing collateral and promotional materials. Participate in associate recognition and key community activities. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. A minimum of 3 - 5 years of Sales and Marketing leadership experience Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to conduct effective group meetings and presentations. Experience in the hospitality industry a must (hotel or restaurant). Full-service Hotel experience required and resort experience preferred. Qualifications: Knowledge of local competition and industry trends. Excellent decision making ability and analytical skills. Marketing creativity in designing partnerships Be able to multi-task various job duties daily. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university or equivalent education/experience. Experience building a sales organization structure & practices from the ground up.
