Job Description

Job Summary: The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the Food & Beverage Manager and Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing the daily operations of restaurants and bars, ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and achieving financial and operational goals. Job Duties & Functions: Support the day-to-day operations of assigned F&B outlets, ensuring alignment with service standards, guest satisfaction, and team efficiency. Monitor food and beverage quality, consistency, and presentation, taking corrective action when necessary. Assist in managing outlet labor, food, and beverage costs to ensure profitability.

Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager in reviewing financial performance and implementing strategies to improve results. Help coordinate staff scheduling, training, and performance management to promote employee engagement and growth. Lead by example in delivering personalized, anticipatory, and genuine guest service in line with luxury hospitality standards. Assist in developing and executing marketing promotions, including social media, on-property activations, and community outreach. Enforce responsible alcohol service policies and report any concerns or violations to senior leadership. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and equipment functionality in all F&B areas.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Foster strong relationships across departments to support seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Attend meetings and contribute to departmental and hotel-wide initiatives as assigned. Performs other duties and attends meetings, as assigned by hotel/department leadership. Education & Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of leadership experience in an upscale or luxury Food & Beverage setting, ideally within a hotel, resort, or similar environment. Strong understanding and ability to train the team on Forbes/ AAA luxury standards. Working knowledge of restaurant operations, cost controls, POS systems, and service standards.

Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or related field is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, and a passion for guest service. Must be highly organized with excellent multi-tasking and time management skills. Ability to read, write and converse in English. Additional languages are a plus. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer.
