Job Description

Job Summary: As the first point of contact for our guests, the Food & Beverage Host sets the tone for a welcoming and elevated dining experience. You'll manage reservations, greet and seat guests, and assist both front- and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Job Duties & Functions: Warmly greet all guests, answer inquiries about the restaurant and local area. Manage reservations and assist in coordinating special events or private dining. Handle incoming calls and book reservations accurately using the reservation system. Respond to guest e-mails and queries. Print food and beverage menus.

Assist servers by taking food and beverage orders when needed. Check the floor and tables for cleanliness and readiness; assist with bussing and resetting tables. Support service by refilling beverages and assisting guests with requests. Maintain an organized host stand and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the shift. Step in to support other F&B roles as needed, in line with our team-oriented culture. Performs other duties and attends meetings, as assigned by hotel/department leadership. Education & Experience: 1+ years of experience in a similar role in a luxury, full-service or upscale dining environment.

Strong multitasking skills and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of Forbes Travel Guide, AAA Five Diamond, LQA or equivalent service standards. Knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) POS and reservation systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Familiarity with menu items and the ability to communicate food and allergy information. Ability to read, write and converse in English. Additional languages are a plus. Food Handler Certification (where applicable). Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
