Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, motors, and control panels. Assist in the installation and commissioning of sewage treatment machinery and instrumentation. Monitor water quality parameters and ensure proper chemical dosing as per operational standards. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs or part replacements. Ensure the continuous and safe operation of the sewage plant with minimal downtime.

Handle and store chemicals, tools, and spare parts in compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance. Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations related to wastewater operations. Collaborate with engineering and utility teams to optimize plant performance and resolve issues. Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and system failures to restore operations. QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in maintenance, electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in operating and maintaining sewage treatment plants or similar systems.

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems associated with sewage treatment facilities. Proven ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and promptly. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to the role. Good understanding of safety procedures and compliance with environmental and health regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and operational instructions. Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work in various environmental conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency calls when required.

Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to sewage treatment is an advantage.
