Job DescriptionRixos Baghdad is seeking a visionary and decisive Director of Rooms to join our leadership team in Baghdad, Iraq.

As the Director of Rooms, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the rooms division, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational excellence. Maintain complete knowledge of:

All hotel features/servicesAll room types, numbers, layout, décor, appointments and locationsAll room rates, special packages and promotionsDaily house count and expected arrivals/departuresPrevious day’s pickup and anticipated business levelsRoom availability status for any given dayScheduled in-house group activities, locations and timesAll hotel and divisional policies and proceduresMonthly forecast and budget itemsDevelop and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and occupancy ratesEnsure the highest standards of customer service and guest satisfactionOversee the creation and management of departmental budgetsAnalyze performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiencyCollaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless hotel operationsRecruit, train, and mentor staff to build a high-performing teamStay current with industry trends and implement innovative practicesEnsure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and security regulationsRepresent the hotel in various industry forums and networking eventsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant hospitality certifications preferredMinimum 5-7 years of experience in hotel management, with prior experience as Director of Rooms or equivalent roleProven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teamsStrong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and revenue managementExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in hotel management software and systemsIn-depth knowledge of hotel operations and best practicesUnderstanding of local hospitality market trends and competition in Baghdad and IraqAbility to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environmentFluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is highly advantageousAdditional Information First name *This field is required.
