Job DescriptionUnder the general guidance of the Director of Sales, the Sales Coordinator will support the Sales Department. This position will be responsible for providing guests, fellow team members and vendors with superior customer service, administrative support to respective departments and will source creative and strategic ideas as needed. The Person in this role must be highly organized, efficient, task oriented, a quick learner and capable of multitasking.
This position must also maintain a professional appearance as they may be called upon to meet a guest in the lobby. In addition to being heavy on administration duties, this position will spend a good portion of the time on special projects. QualificationsAnswer the phones as needed using proper phone etiquette at all times in a timely manner. Monitor and respond to emails from Mondrian LA general and sales email box. Assist with creating and inputting group and production room listsReview and ensuring customer information is up to dateAudit rates on OTA sites to check or parity.
Sort and distribute mail fax. Responsible for VIP reservations directed by sales manager. Ensure department maintains adequate inventory for press kits. Assist other coordinators with special projects for internal and external customersHandle all apartment/penthouse/long-term requestsAny other reasonable request made by management that facilitates the operations for the department/hotel. Compile and maintain current client mailing list and contact details in Sales operating system. Organize promotional activities for new products/services/marketing campaigns. Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events. Generate and distribute various sales reports and statistical analysis as requested.
What We’re Looking For…Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Hotel hospitality experienceOrganizational skillsSpecific Job Knowledge & SkillsBachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required2-3 years of hotel sales experience preferredAbility to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMust be able to use computer and have familiarity with Office Tools.
