Our purpose is simple yet profound: We care for people so they can be their best.Where Every Moment is Grand.The Hygiene Asst Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards within the food and beverage outlets. This role ensures strict compliance with local, national, and international health regulations and acts as the primary authority on all matters related to cleanliness, pest control, and food handling. The ideal candidate is a proactive and knowledgeable leader dedicated to protecting public health and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.Key Responsibilities:1. Hygiene & Sanitation ManagementDevelop and maintain the site’s hygiene and sanitation program.Oversee daily cleaning operations in production, storage, and service areas.Ensure correct use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits across all departments.Verify that cleaning SOPs are followed consistently and effectively2. Food Safety ComplianceEnsure all hygiene practices comply with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and local regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure hygiene alignment with food safety risk assessments.Maintain documentation and records related to sanitation, inspections, and corrective actions.3. Team Leadership & TrainingLead, train, supervise, and schedule hygiene Training.Conduct regular training sessions on hygiene, food safety, and chemical handling.Monitor team performance and enforce discipline related to hygiene protocols.4. Pest Control OversightManage and monitor the pest control program in coordination with external providers.Ensure preventive measures are implemented and corrective actions taken promptly.5. Equipment & Facility ManagementEnsure cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition and calibrated when required.Work with maintenance teams to ensure drainage, ventilation, and waste management systems support hygiene standards.6. Reporting & Continuous ImprovementPrepare hygiene reports, KPI, and non-compliance logs.Lead root-cause investigations for hygiene-related incidents.Recommend and implement improvements to sanitation processes.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hygiene or sanitation management, ideally in food manufacturing, hospitality, or FMCG.Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or other food safety standards.Experience in managing teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends as required.Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbalWhat we are looking for:Genuine passion for people, learning, and growthStrong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and care for othersAbility to connect with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and foster an inclusive learning environmentHigh attention to detail and a proactive approach to challengesFlexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit within a pre-opening environmentAt Hyatt, we care for people so they can be their best.
