Join our People and Culture team in this part-time role (Monday–Wednesday), where you’ll play a key part in supporting our people across the business. As our Payroll Specialist, you will report to the Remuneration and Reward Manager and work alongside passionate HR professionals at our Support Office to ensure our weekly payroll runs smoothly and complies with all relevant policies and legislation.
This role combines technical payroll accuracy with a strong service mindset, and offers opportunities to contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives.
What You’ll Be DoingPreparing and processing weekly payroll using MYOB PayGlobal as scheduledEnsuring all updates are accurately reflected in the payroll system, either manually or via HRIS integrationManaging time and attendance data, including leave applications and allowancesGenerating and distributing weekly payroll reports to the wider businessResolving payroll-related queries with a people-first, solutions-focused approachSupporting the Remuneration & Reward Manager when requiredWhat You’ll BringPrevious experience in a payroll role, ideally within a People or HR teamPractical knowledge of the NZ Holidays Act and payroll-related legislationA detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality and integrityStrong communication and interpersonal skills – you're approachable and people trust you to get it rightExperience with MYOB PayGlobal is beneficial, but not essentialThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a collaborative HR environment, is confident with payroll processes, and values making a difference to the employee experience.
