About the Role: We are looking for a highly analytical, results-driven Financial Data Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will take full ownership of building, maintaining, and optimising the financial data framework that supports critical decision-making across the business. You will play a key role in monitoring, analysing, and controlling the company’s fees, costs, and financial performance.
This position requires a strong technical foundation in data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling, combined with a deep understanding of financial operations, market dynamics, and corporate banking processes. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments and contribute to process improvement initiatives and product development. Key Responsibilities:
Own and drive the analysis of financial and business data to deliver actionable insights and recommendationsBuild, maintain, and optimise dashboards and reports (Power BI) to monitor costs, revenue streams, and operational efficiencyExtract, clean, and structure data from internal systems using SQL, Power Query, Excel, and other toolsAutomate recurring reports and develop tools for ongoing cost monitoring using Excel macros, Power BI, or scriptingPerform variance analysis to investigate unexpected shifts in costs and support vendor negotiations and cost controlLead scenario modelling to assess the financial impact of market changes, pricing structures, or vendor relationshipsSupport broader finance initiatives, including payments analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial reconciliationsLead or contribute to process improvement projects using Six Sigma or process engineering techniquesTranslate business needs into user stories, data requirements, and reporting solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product profitability, operational efficiency, and governance standardsProvide expertise on lending products, trade finance, and cash management solutions, including pricing strategy and product developmentRequirements:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from complex financial dataDeep understanding of financial markets, trading, and corporate banking operationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field3+ years of experience in financial analysis, treasury, or payments analytics—ideally within financial services, fintech, or brokerageAdvanced Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and complex formulasProven experience with Power BI and best practices in data visualisationProficiency with SQL, Power Query, or similar data toolsExperience working with back-office systems such as CRMs and accounting softwareExcellent attention to detail with strong time management and organisational skillsExcellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights clearly to non- technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
