Icelandair is looking for a dedicated professional to lead its Planning & Performance department in Operations. The Manager Planning & Performance will lead a team of analysts and data scientists dedicated to improving operational performance and decision-making both in short- and long-term.
Key responsibilitiesLead, develop and inspire a multidisciplinary team of analysts, performance managers and data scientists driving the successful delivery of diverse projects across OperationsLead and develop tools and models to enhance key operational performance drivers, including on-time performance, turnaround time, disruptions and other data related to schedule integrity and operational robustnessFacilitate and develop integrated resource planning within Operations on the 18-month and 5-year horizons, including fleet spare capacity planning for optimum operational efficiencyTranslate complex operational data into actionable business cases that support cost savings and efficiency gains in-line with company goalsEnsure tools, dashboards and reporting mechanisms support proactive decision-makingMonitor and report on performance KPIs to leadership and support monthly and quarterly business reviewsStay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies such as AIQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Aviation Management, or a related field5+ years of experience in data analytics positions is preferableProven experience in team leadership and cross-functional collaborationProficiency in tools such as Power BI, SQL is required, experience with Python is a plusExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
