About The RoleWe are seeking a leader for the Pricing & Analytics Finland team. This team manages pricing technology and methodology, renewal pricing processes, and customer-level pricing elements.

As the team leader, you will participate in the Nordic Pricing & Analytics Management team, contributing to the development of the pricing agenda at If. At the local level, you will expand the team to address market requirements and the needs of customers and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will be part of the Finnish Product & Price organization in matrix, providing input on pricing practices across the private portfolio in Finland and facilitating collaboration among analysts across teams. This department is part of Product & Price, which manages the profit and loss of Private, oversees the customer offering, and coordinates activities in each local market.

The wider Pricing & Analytics organization is Nordic and consists of engaged colleagues with expertise in areas such as actuarial mathematics, data science, and artificial intelligence. Collaboration with other departments in the Baltics and in Hastings (UK insurer) is part of the role, and we develop what we work on and how we do so continuously.

As a member of the local Finnish Product & Price management team you will also be involved in ensuring excellent customer outcomes in the local market and in how we reach our financial targets – a duality in the role which gives unique challenges and opportunities to have an impact and build your knowledge and network. You also have: We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you have. . . Master or higher level education in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science or engineering.

Proven experience and strong track record in modelling statistics, analytics or data science ideally within the insurance or finance with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Leadership experience – at a minimum significant project management experience while managing other colleagues’ time and work. Line management experience is a plus, not a must. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience. Fluent in English and Finnish or Swedish.
