The Paymaster / General Cashier is responsible for handling the hotel’s payroll processing and managing all cash operations.
This dual role ensures employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict control over hotel cash handling procedures, deposits, and cash disbursements in accordance with company policies and internal controls. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
As PaymasterProcess payroll accurately and on schedule for all hotel employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policiesMaintain employee attendance records, leave balances, and timekeeping data in coordination with HR and department headsVerify employee hours worked, calculate overtime, deductions, and allowancesEnsure confidentiality of all payroll data and employee informationPrepare payroll reports and assist with monthly reconciliation of payroll accountsDistribute pay slips and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employeesAssist in preparation of statutory payments (e. g.
, taxes, social security, provident fund) and file them as requiredGeneral CashierCollect and verify daily cash drops from all revenue outletsPrepare and make daily bank deposits and reconcile cash received with system reportsMaintain and balance the hotel’s house bank and petty cash fundsIssue and track cashier float advances and reimbursements for all departmentsEnsure cash handling procedures comply with company policies and internal controlsPrepare daily cash reports and maintain accurate records of all transactionsAssist in monthly cash and float audits in collaboration with finance leadershipGeneral DutiesMaintain proper documentation for all payroll and cash transactionsCoordinate with the Finance, HR, and Operations teams for smooth payroll and cashier functionsSupport internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanationsEnsure compliance with hotel financial policies, accounting standards, and local labour lawsWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in payroll and/or cashiering, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environmentStrong knowledge of payroll processing, labor laws, and statutory requirementsProficient in Microsoft Excel and hotel accounting/payroll systems (e. g. , Oracle, SAP, ADP, or similar)High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detailStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive information confidentiallyDiploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferredWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US: We give our people everything they need to succeed.
