DESCRIPTION: IHU RespirERA is looking for a qualified practitioner biologist/molecular pathologist to join its specialized molecular biology team. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary physicians and experts, using state-of-the-art technologies. The position offers exceptional prospects for growth and development in a supportive, team-oriented and stimulating environment. The Molecular Pathology Laboratory has an average annual activity of 1,200 cases, including tissue and liquid biopsies. The laboratory's technical platform is complete and up-to-date (multi-panel NGS, PCR, FISH). The molecular biology activity is COFRAC ISO 15189 accredited.
The laboratory has been selected as a National Referral Lab for “Lung Genetics” and a National and International Reference Center for liquid biopsies. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Diagnostic activity in molecular biology with a focus on thoracic pathology. Responsible for clinical validation of molecular testing in tissues and biofluids. Actively participate in biobanking activities and analytical validations (ISO 15 189). Set up a common clinico-molecular and pathological database (including exposome and lung microbiome datasets). Work closely with INRIA partners to develop AI algorithms for diagnosis and prediction of response to personalized treatment. Actively participate in translational research projects.
Promote effective relationships within the department. Support and participate in presentations at national scientific meetings and preparation of publications for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Teaching responsibilities extend to medical students, pathology interns and PhD students. PROFILE: Doctor of Medicine (MD or MD/PhD) with relevant certifications and experience in molecular biology. The job offer will be based on the candidate's skills, previous relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
