The Simulation Advanced Trainee (AT) position is accredited by ACEM as a Specialist Training Placement (STP). It would suit ACEM trainees in Training Stages 2-4.
The position is a 1 year position split equally between simulation training / medical education AT and Emergency AT at Wollongong hospital. The Simulation AT will learn how to design, facilitate, deliver and debrief simulation training for medical staff, allied health staff and medical students in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. Whilst working as an Emergency AT, the AT will participate in a seven-day per week roster which includes evening and night shifts and will demonstrate proficiency in the assessment and management of all medical and surgical emergencies in paediatric and adult patients.
