We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to ongoing learning and development.
ResponsibilitiesProvide emotional and practical support to clients with psychosocial disabilitiesAssist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasksAssist with community participation and appointment supportImplement individual support plans in consultation with participants and their families/care teamMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and provide reports as requiredWork collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including treating doctors, psychologists, and social workersParticipate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledgeRequirementsProven experience in mental health support workMust have extensive experience supporting clients with Autism Level 3 & Non-verbal ClientsLived experience is highly valued and encouraged to applyCurrently enrolled in a Psychology or Social Work program (acceptable)Diploma in Mental Health or higher qualification preferredFlexibility to work varied hours, including shorter shiftsConfident in managing challenging behaviorsValid NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid/CPR.
