Illawarra Zone Sports Is Made Up Of The Following SchoolsCalderwood Christian SchoolCedars Christian CollegeIllawarra Christian SchoolNowra Christian SchoolShellharbour Anglican CollegeSnowy Mountains Christian SchoolSouthern Highlands Christian SchoolWe are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Sports Coordinator (Teacher Trained) to oversee and coordinate Illawarra Zone sporting events throughout the year. The successful applicant will manage zone sporting arrangements and work collaboratively with staff from each school to plan, organise, and manage zone carnivals and representative opportunities.Illawarra Zone Sports Coordinator A permanent part-time 0.4 FTE position exists for a teacher to provide leadership and coordination of all zone participants throughout the Illawarra region.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement and events coordinationLead a team in the management of events and carnivalsCoordinating staff from various schoolsCarry out risk assessments for carnivals and gala daysSupervision and instructions of staff and studentsOversee the administration and organisation of carnivals and gala daysBooking of venuesCreating, communicating and reviewing risk assessmentsCreating permission note templatesLiaising with sports coordinators at each school, distributing documents for individual school branding and distribution at their schoolsCommunicating results in a timely manner along with any ribbons/trophiesFacilitate and lead zone sports meetingsSending team entries to the State ConvenorCreate an instruction manual on how to organise each event for future convenorsThe successful applicant will be required to be a qualified trained teacher and will report and function out of the closest local Zone School (if not already attached to one of the existing zone participants).The position will commence early January 2026, in line with the local zone schools term dates.
