Continued employment is contingent upon available grant funding.The Teaching and Learning Center supports the college’s commitment to providing our diverse community with the opportunity to gain a quality higher education by providing interactive professional development opportunities for all faculty and staff. The TLC encourages innovation and supports faculty in the use of research-based andragogical best practices for the learner-focused classroom.The Immersive Learning Lab Manager reports directly to the Dean of Faculty and Curricular Development and is critical in the work of the Teaching Learning Center. The Immersive Learning Lab Manager has an essential role in demonstrating Immersive learning experiences while providing operational excellence and a passion for delivering exceptional service. They should have a background in leading teams and the capability of learning and managing the technological aspects of VR. The Immersive Learning Lab Manager will receive guidance from Dreamscape Learn’s Training & Support team in a “Train the Trainer” format. Here they will learn the essential components of managing and operating a Dreamscape Learn Pod before its deployment.Occasional evening and weekend support may be required.Primary DutiesPlanning, Operations & Facility ManagementDesign and implement the Immersive Learning LabCoordinate and standardize daily operationsOversee facility access and maintenanceManage scheduling and staffing of student operatorsDevelop immersive learning expansion plansAcademic and Project SupportTrain and support faculty, staff, and students in immersive technologiesAssist with VR development and project use of Dreamscape LearnProvide customer service to ensure positive guest experiencesTechnical Support and Equipment Maintenance Troubleshoot and maintain VR equipmentManage RMA processes and vendor coordinationConduct regular testing and upkeep of VR podsMinimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions Of Employment & Appeal RightsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.Education:(Minimum/Required) Associate’s degree in Instructional and/or Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Computer Science, or related field.Experience: :(Minimum/Required) 2 years of hands-on technical support experience (VR, AV, IT, instructional tech, makerspace, media lab, etc.)1 year of supervisory experience1 year of experience working in an academic/school setting.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: (Minimum/Required)Curiosity and passion for exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies.Passion for working with faculty and students. Demonstrated ability to communicate cogently orally, in writing, and on-line.Demonstrated ability to work impactfully in a group setting.Fluency in Microsoft Office.Demonstrated ability to produce accessible documents, video, and audio.Experience: (Preferred) Project management experience.Experience working in a community college setting.Supplemental InformationOur campus is located in downtown Denver, adjacent to two light rail stations, and just minutes away from shopping, restaurants, and event venues.
