Are you an experienced Band 5 nurse ready to take the next step, or a Band 6 nurse looking to develop your expertise in a specialist field?We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our Immunology team on a 12-month maternity cover. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 5 nurse looking to step up or a Band 6 nurse seeking to develop their specialist skills in Clinical Immunology.The Post Holder Will Support Day Unit Infusions And Contribute To The Daily Activities Within The Outpatient Unit. A Key Element Of The Role Includes Participating In The Management Of One Of The UK’s Largest Nationally Funded Homecare Programmes, Which Includes:Initiation, administration, and patient training for immunoglobulin replacement therapy for primary and secondary immunodeficiency.Initiation and administration of C1 esterase inhibitor and other novel therapies for Hereditary angioedemaYou’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality care across our outpatient and day unit services — supporting infusion therapies, coordinating clinics, and managing patients on one of the UK’s largest nationally funded homecare programmes.The aim of the role is to support a seamless Immunology and Angioedema service towards continuously improving standards of patient care.The post holder will participate in interventions within Immunology and Angioedema specialist practice that will promote a seamless service within a multi-professional framework.This will be achieved through clinical practice, management, education, research and audit and professional activities taking into account directorate, corporate, and national policy and within the clinical governance framework.A Major Component Of The Role Will Involve Participation In Managing One Of The UK’s Largest Nationally Funded Homecare Programmes.
