We’re offering a unique internship opportunity within the Operations team of a leading investment bank, focused on functional support of market and counterparty risk systems. About the RoleAs a Data Analytics Intern, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of data feeding into critical risk systems.
You’ll collaborate with risk analysts and internal stakeholders to monitor, investigate, and improve data processes, while contributing to the development of meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role sits within the Operations team, which is responsible for the functional support of the bank’s market and counterparty risk systems. The team ensures high data quality, resolves incidents, and continuously improves processes and reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain KPIs to monitor data availability and quality. Investigate and resolve data quality issues, coordinating with relevant teams. Streamline, document, and enhance existing operational processes. Support system users through training and guidance.
Prepare materials for committee discussions on data quality. What We’re Looking ForEducation & Skills: Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, IT, or related field. Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Proficiency in Python is essential. Experience with PowerBI is a strong advantage. SQL knowledge is required. Experience & Attributes: Understanding of financial products (e. g. , Stocks, Bonds, Swaps) is a plus. Delivery-focused with excellent attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Motivated, proactive, and thorough professional. Languages: English is essential. Portuguese or French is a plus, but not mandatory.
