Qualifications: BSc / BE / ME / MSc Civil EngineeringExperience: 10– 15 years of relevant experienceKey Responsibilities:Responsible for all contract maters and ensures that all sections are aware of the contractual requirement.Ensure that the contractor’s performance meets the contractual requirement.Ensure that employer performs according to the terms of the contractAdvises PM/SM to ensure that all verbal and written instructions issued by Engineer and/or Employer’s staff are notified and copied to the department of contract matters immediately on daily basis.Ensure that execution of work & major events under the contract are notified to the engineer and the employer.Responsible for preparation of claims and variation orders in accordance with contract provisions and dispute resolution proceduresReview progress and advise PM/SM of the implications of delay in order to make improvements in the rate of progress.Review and compare the tender drawings and construction drawings and determine the impact of contractual alterations, additions or omissionsResponsible for making necessary agreements for subcontractors as per requirement of the projectResponsible for dealing with contract matters in respect of work-subcontracted through sub-contractor sections such as issuing instructions to the sub-contractor and certification of payments to the subcontractors for the work done each monthResponsible for preparation and submission of substantiate and settle extension of time claim with the engineer / employer.Responsible to issue contractual notices to Engineer/Employer of all events that may result in Extension of Time and/or Additional Costs and variations under the contact provisions.Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks, reduce exposure to hazardous liability and ensure implementation of QHSE policy
