Job location: Delhi NCRAbout the role:We are seeking an India After Sales Head, Inverters, to lead after sales operations for our grid-tied inverter business. This is a strategic role where the India After Sales Head will be the architect of Sun King’s national service strategy, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, maximizing inverter uptime, and driving profitable growth. This role will work cross-functionally to find solutions for our customers, including product replacement requests, warranty claims, troubleshooting, logistics, and service training. The role will require to travel up to 60% across India.What you would be expected to do:Strategy and P&L Management:Develop and execute the comprehensive pan-India strategy for installation, commissioning, warranty management, and post-warranty service operations.Own the P&L for the service department, including BOM/ BOS planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, cost control, and driving revenue through AMCs and out-of-warranty services.Design and implement best-in-class standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field and remote service activities to ensure scalability and efficiency.Conduct training sessions to enhance team customer handling and technical troubleshooting skills.Team Leadership and Capability Building:Mentor a team of Solar engineers, Installers, and Field Technicians.Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, safety, and continuous learning.Develop and implement a rigorous training and certification roadmap to ensure team members are experts in the latest inverter technologies and service protocols.Installation, Service and Compliance Operations:Oversee end-to-end installation quality and commissioning processes, ensuring 100% compliance with IS/IEC standards and relevant PMSGY scheme guidelines.Implement and manage national-level monitoring systems to proactively track performance, pre-empt failures, and guarantee System Performance Ratios (PR).Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to develop integrated solutions for customers and ensure a seamless post-sales experience.Provide critical field insights and service data to the Product and R&D teams to inform future product design, enhance quality, and improve reliability.Reporting and MIS:Use data-centric insights to identify trends and implement proactive strategies for network improvement.Prepare and present periodic performance reports to senior management, providing a clear view of the after-sales P&L, customer satisfaction, and operational health.Ensure strict compliance is followed as per Sun King policies, data integrity standards, and industry regulations.You might be a strong candidate if you have/are:A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical or Electronics engineering, or other relevant disciplines.8+ years of experience in after sales operations, with proven experience of mentoring teams.3+ years of experience in a role heading service, installation, and P&L operations for grid inverters, solar power plants, or similar power electronics.In-depth knowledge of the Indian renewable energy landscape, including IS/IEC standards, and familiarity with government schemes like PMSGY.Good understanding of warranty management, spare parts logistics, and technical service delivery.Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex customer issues and replacement requests.Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distil information and understand how to communicate to different audiences to get results.Possess humility and passionate about customer service and resolving issues.Data-literate, with experience using CRM systems, and analysing performance metrics to drive decisions.What Sun King offers:Professional growth in a dynamic, rapidly expanding, high-social-impact industryAn open-minded, collaborative culture made up of enthusiastic colleagues who are driven by the challenge of innovation towards profound impact on people and the planet.A truly multicultural experience: You will have the chance to work with and learn from people from different geographies, nationalities, and backgrounds.Structured, tailored learning and development programs that help you become a better leader, manager, and professional through the Sun King Center for Leadership.We place great importance on sustaining a diverse, inclusive work environment:We believe that innovation and understanding comes from diversity on every spectrum.
