Job SummaryIEM is currently seeking a Manufacturing Data Analyst for our Fremont location and will report into the Manufacturing Manager. The Manufacturing Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various departments within the manufacturing process. This role is critical in supporting data-driven decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and drive key performance indicators (KPIs). The incumbent would directly collaborate with site leadership and department managers on a daily basis. Key ResponsibilitiesData Collection and ManagementGather and compile data from various manufacturing departments (e. g.
, safety, quality, production, ops finance, supply chain)Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data collected. Organize data in databases and spreadsheets for easy access and analysis. Data AnalysisAnalyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Process ImprovementSupport continuous improvement initiatives by providing data-driven insights. Assist in identifying areas of inefficiency and suggest data-based solutions. Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting and CommunicationPrepare and present data analysis reports to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Assist in the development of documentation for data collection processes and procedures. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment2+ years of experience using data analysis tools (e. g. , Excel, SQL, Python, etc. )Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Basic understanding of statistical methods and process improvement techniques.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and KPIs. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e. g. , Power BI, Tableau). Workplace Conditions: This role requirestime spent both on the production floor and as well as at a desk.
