Information Security Officer

Our client (Software Company) is looking for an experienced Information Security Officer with demonstrable knowledge of the SURF Framework and experience within an educational environment.Freelancing / Contract Opportunity Please note: Professional Dutch Proficiency is required for this role 32 hour weekEnschede Area1-2 days a week in office/on-site80e per hourAs an Information Security Officer, you will bring structure to documentation, processes, and systems. You will conduct a fit-gap analysis, identify areas for improvement, and implement improvements where possible.You work independently but coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and colleagues within Functional Management.ResponsibilitiesConduct a fit-gap analysis of existing documentation and procedures compared to CMM3;Structure, update, and optimize documentation and policies;Contribute to closing identified gaps in processes and systems;Improve the resource management process and information security measures;Collaborate with internal teams to enhance integration and alignment;Ensure compliance with CMM3 guidelines and the SURF Framework;Prepare for and guide internal and external audits;Advise on risks and appropriate mitigation measures;Report on progress and compliance to relevant stakeholders.RequirmentsAt least 3 years of experience in a similar role within IT or Information Security;Demonstrable knowledge of the SURF Framework and/or ISO 27001;Experience with fit-gap analyses, process optimization, and documentation management;Experience within an educational institution is a plus;Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently;Proactive, structured, and analytical mindset;Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.If you or someone you know is interested in this role, please apply here, send me a message or an email with your updated CV and suitable times to give you a call: s.mooney@hwthree.com
