Information Technology Business Analyst

Job Title: IT Business AnalystLocation: Toronto, ON/ Waterloo, ONWork Mode: Hybrid - 3 daysContract: 12 monthsRole Overview We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support an initiative involving the integration of Salesforce with core banking systems via Java Spring Boot web services. This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and experience in financial services environments. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to elicit requirements, assess impacts, and support solution delivery. Position Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Analysis - Elicit and analyze business requirements (new features, change requests, production support). - Conduct gap analysis and propose feasible solutions aligned with business goals. - Prepare detailed user and system specifications in collaboration with stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement - Act as a liaison between business users, IT delivery teams, and external vendors. - Facilitate effective communication to ensure shared understanding of requirements. - Apply change management principles to support adoption and minimize disruption. Testing & Delivery Support - Assist in defining UAT strategy, scope, and test cases. - Support project coordination from scoping through implementation. - Provide production support as needed (e.g., issue resolution, reconciliations). Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and improve system efficiency. - Document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams. Required Qualifications - 10+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years in business analysis roles. - Proven experience integrating Salesforce with Java Spring Boot web services. - Strong understanding of banking or financial services, especially specialized lending. - Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and change management practices. - Proficiency in MS Office, JIRA, Confluence, and basic SQL/PLSQL skills.
