IT Infrastructure Project Manager (Freelance / Contract)Role: IT Infrastructure Project ManagerType: FreelanceStart: Early - mid NovemberDuration: 6-9 monthsHours: 32-40 p/wWork from home: 3 days home, 2 days officeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Project Manager to support infrastructure and systems initiatives within an enterprise environment for a global shipping client. The ideal candidate combines strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise processes.You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT infrastructure projects on time and within scope, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s technical and operational standards. This role does not include direct people management but requires close collaboration with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate multiple infrastructure projects (e.g. network upgrades, data center, cloud migrations, workplace modernization).Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Ensure project deliverables align with IT standards, compliance, and security policies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure engineers, architects, and business users.Track risks, dependencies, and milestones; provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders.Facilitate vendor management and third-party coordination where applicable.Ensure documentation, testing, and change management are properly executed.RequirementsPRINCE2 certification (mandatory).5–10 years of experience in IT project management, ideally within infrastructure domains.Proven experience managing projects in enterprise environments (shipping, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus).Solid understanding of core infrastructure components — networks, servers, cloud, end-user computing.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and deliver results without direct team leadership responsibilities.Fluent in English (Dutch is an advantage).
