Certified in Florida and 14 other states, we are dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients.Join our team and contribute to the success of a firm that values professionalism, integrity, and the pursuit of engineering excellence. Description We are seeking an experienced and security-focused IT Specialist to oversee the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of DOP Engineering’s IT systems, while also providing hands-on support to our fully remote teams across Latin America. This direct role is essential for maintaining robust cybersecurity standards, protecting organizational assets, managing user credentials, and ensuring compliance with IT security policies. The IT Specialist will actively participate in the administration of infrastructure, software tools, and security protocols, while leading IT-related onboarding, offboarding, and access management processes. This position combines technical expertise with a proactive approach to cyber risk prevention, data protection, and operational IT efficiency.  Responsibilities: Enforce IT security standards across DOP Engineering’s systems, including access control, credential management, and data protection. Manage user accounts, permissions, and credentials, ensuring appropriate access aligned with security policies throughout the employee lifecycle. Install, configure, and maintain required software tools and core collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams); troubleshoot as needed. Maintain accurate records of support requests, software deployments, and offboarding processes; provide regular updates to management. Identify recurring IT issues within the DOP team and propose solutions to improve efficiency and reduce future disruptions. Monitor emerging cybersecurity risks and collaborate with management to strengthen the organization’s security posture through continuous improvement initiatives. Support audits, compliance efforts, and enforcement of cybersecurity frameworks and IT governance best practices. Collaborate with HR and management teams during onboarding and offboarding to ensure completion of all IT-related tasks (account management, hardware recovery, secure data handling). Monitor and manage endpoint security tools (antivirus, firewalls, device management solutions) to ensure compliance with security standards. Participate in incident response processes, supporting investigation, mitigation, and documentation of cybersecurity incidents. Perform regular vulnerability and risk assessments; recommend and implement technical improvements. Promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization by providing guidance on security best practices. Ensure data loss prevention (DLP) mechanisms are in place and monitor adherence to data protection policies. Manage regular data backups to ensure business continuity and data protection. Administer and support company phone and IVR systems  Education and Experience Requirements While not required, a background in a technical or engineering field related to production, operations, or software development is highly desirable. An intermediate level of English B1 is desirable. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Solid experience in IT support, user management, and security operations in remote environments. Familiarity with production-related software (e.g., Autodesk) is a plus. IT certification in programing (e.g., C++, Java) is a plus.  Competencies and Skills Proven experience in IT support, ideally in a remote or corporate environment. Strong analytical skills for diagnosing technical issues and identifying security vulnerabilities. Proficiency in security protocols, access control systems, credential management, and IT governance. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, with hands-on experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and administration. Proficiency in setting up, managing, and supporting collaboration tools to optimize team communication and workflow. Proficiency in managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including securing IT assets remotely. Strong communication skills, with the ability to assist non-technical users remotely and explain technical concepts clearly. Proficiency in IT security best practices and a strong commitment to maintaining data privacy and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
