Job Description

⚙️ Key Responsibilities🔹 Technical Support & MaintenanceProvide first-line technical support for computers, servers, printers, and other hardware.Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux systems and hospital management software.Maintain network connections, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.Perform preventive maintenance on PCs, servers, and IT peripherals.Respond to support tickets, calls, and emails within agreed timelines.🔹 Server & Network AdministrationAssist with setup and configuration of Windows/Linux servers (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server).Support virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and manage backups using tools such as Veeam or Acronis.Monitor server uptime, performance, and security.Help configure VPN connections and firewall policies.🔹 Software & Database SupportSupport the deployment of ERP, CRM, and accounting systems.Monitor and maintain hospital databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).Perform basic data backups, recovery testing, and user access management.🔹 Cybersecurity & ComplianceAssist in applying and monitoring endpoint protection and antivirus systems.Enforce IT security policies, user access controls, and password management.Participate in regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks (RGPD, HIPAA).🔹 Documentation & ReportingMaintain IT asset inventory (hardware, software, licenses).Document network topologies, server configurations, and system updates.Prepare technical reports and assist with client presentations.🔹 Client Site SupportProvide on-site IT support for hospitals and offices when required.Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for maintenance and procurement.Ensure all IT systems remain operational 24/7 through proactive monitoring.🧠 Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms.Familiarity with LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPNs.Experience in database backup and recovery (MySQL, SQL Server).Basic knowledge of ERP / CRM / HMS software.Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection.Ability to troubleshoot efficiently, prioritize issues, and communicate clearly.Fluent in English or French; knowledge of both is an asset.⚙️ Preferred Tools & TechnologiesWindows Server 2016/2019 | VMware / Hyper-V | pfSense / Fortinet | MySQL / SQL Server | Veeam Backup | TeamViewer | AnyDesk | Office 365 | Active Directory💼 Soft SkillsStrong sense of responsibility and professionalismGood communication and teamworkOrganized and detail-orientedWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesAbility to work under pressure and in hospital environments🕒 Working ConditionsFull-time position (onsite + remote support when required)Availability for after-hours or weekend support (on rotation)Opportunity to grow into IT Engineer / Systems Administrator role
