Position SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in coordinating mobilisation and construction activities for the airport infrastructure project. This role involves managing communication between stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety and quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation strategies. Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow. Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to maintain progress. Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, blueprints, and daily progress reports. Prepare and update project status reports for management and stakeholders.
Keep records of material deliveries, manpower, and equipment utilization. Facilitate communication between different project teams, departments, and external stakeholders. Arrange and document meetings, ensuring that action items are followed up. Address and escalate project issues or conflicts as needed. Monitor procurement schedules and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery. Assist in tracking labor deployment and subcontractor activities. Ensure equipment and machinery are available and functioning properly at the site. Support the enforcement of quality control measures to ensure construction standards are met.
Required Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in project coordination or site management for construction projects. Knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry regulations. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e. g. , Primavera, MS Project). Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Attributes: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required. Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
