Vice President – Infrastructure Private Equity (Energy, Digital & Utilities)Overview:Our client, a leading private equity fund specialising in infrastructure and energy transition investments, is seeking a Vice President to join its Canadian based team. The successful candidate will play a central role in sourcing, executing, and managing investments across energy, power, utilities, digital infrastructure, and emerging AI-related infrastructure assets. This position offers the opportunity to deploy capital into high-growth, next-generation infrastructure that underpins the global energy transition and digital economy.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support all stages of the investment process, from origination and due diligence through execution and portfolio management.Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, and investment cases across regulated and contracted infrastructure assets.Manage transaction workstreams, coordinating advisors across financial, legal, technical, and commercial areas.Develop deep sector insights into energy transition, grid infrastructure, storage, data centres, fibre networks, and AI-enabled infrastructure.Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to the Investment Committee.Drive portfolio value creation through active engagement with management teams and operational initiatives.Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to firmwide strategy and thematic origination efforts.Candidate Requirements:7–10 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or principal investing, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, power, utilities, or digital assets.Strong transaction execution experience, ideally including investments in energy transition, digital infrastructure (data centres, fibre, towers), or regulated utilities.Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and structuring skills, with commercial and strategic acumen.Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders and investment committees.Collaborative team player with leadership capability and a proactive, analytical mindset.Degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; MBA or CFA beneficial.Attractive for candidates seeking:Exposure to transformative infrastructure sectors driving the energy transition and digitalisation.Opportunity to lead investments in energy, utilities, data, and AI-enabling infrastructure across North America.Entrepreneurial, high-performing team culture with significant responsibility and visibility at deal leve
