The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a proven track record managing third-party vendors, and the ability to drive projects from initiation through to successful completion.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, issue identification and resolution, communication strategies, risk management, and status reporting.Define and document project scope, goals, milestones, key success factors, and required changes.Produce comprehensive project documentation, including stakeholder lists, schedules, charters, budgets, risk registers, and mandatory deliverables.Ensure all business requirements are clearly defined, documented, and met throughout the project lifecycle.Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementLead discussions and negotiations with third-party vendors, ensuring all contractual terms and conditions align with The Salvation Army’s standards, especially for high-value and high-profile projects.Collaborate with process owners, analysts, consultants, and subject matter experts to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related communications and escalations.Construction & Store Layout Coordination (Must Have)Oversee the setup of store layouts, ensuring technology infrastructure (e.g., networking, POS systems, security, and other technical assets) is optimally located and integrated into the construction plan.Coordinate with construction teams and internal stakeholders to align technology placement with operational needs and compliance requirements.Project LeadershipLead complex projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project objectives.Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting to stakeholders and leadership.Qualifications7+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager, preferably in a retail or construction environment5+ years of background in construction-side technology projects, including store layout planning and technology placement.Demonstrated success managing third-party vendors and negotiating contracts.Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Experience creating and managing detailed project plans and documentation.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.PMP or similar project management certification is an asset.Why Join Us?ALTEN Canada fosters a dynamic, collaborative work environment where every team member is empowered to reach their full potential.
