Candidate must have 5 years of work experience in design and engineering (Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design) for Oil & Gas / Industrial Telecom in the Middle East (preferably Qatar). Candidate must be able to perform standard design tasks for Telecommunication systems. The systems will typically fall into one of the following categories for onshore and offshore applications in the oil and gas industry:
Information and Communications Technology (LAN, WLAN, Telephony) Radio system (VHF, UHF, DMR, Microwave) Security and surveillance (access control, CCTV, PIDS) Public address and life safety (PAGA, Page Party) Marine safety and communications Entertainment and lifestyle systems Cabinets, OSP, ISP cabling, and infrastructureCandidate must have experience in carrying out site surveys, as required to prepare engineering deliverables. Candidate must have experience in preparing standard telecom deliverables such as Telecom Site Survey Report, Design Basis, Specifications, Datasheets, Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Equipment and Cable Route Layouts, Typical Installation Details, Calculations, Equipment and Cable Schedules, MTO, MR, etc.
Candidate must have experience in client coordination, attending internal and external meetings. Experience in working with QatarEnergy and Qatar Shell GTL will be an added advantage.
