SUMMARY The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading a department that provides excellent customer service and works to increase Carel’s presence with existing and prospective customers. This person will also be an exceptional communicator, able to build rapport with key stakeholders and various departments both internally and externally. The ideal candidate has experience managing a Customer Service organization along with an Inside Sales group. A background in the HVAC/R industry and a technical aptitude is highly appreciated as is direct experience in a sales role. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Manage a team of Order Entry clerks, accountable for providing outstanding customer care/ service. Develop and implement departmental KPIs, and hold team accountable for achieving the targets. Engage with customers experiencing difficult situations and demonstrate the ability to recover and convert those situations into opportunities for both parties. Work proactively /with our customer base and maintain records in a CRM system documenting efforts, and quantifying opportunities. Lead efforts aimed/ at expanding the Carel sales footprint inside of our existing customer networks by promoting Carel’s products, services, and solutions to key stakeholders in other organizations. Maintain cooperative relationships with the Operations department, Planning department, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery. Support Regional Sales managers by managing price requests, onboarding new customers, and providing presales support. Take direct account management responsibility of selected accounts such as distributors and small OEMs. Assist in planning and executing sales & marketing strategies and objectives for selected accounts Other duties may be assigned as needed QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have experience in managing a Customer Service organization or Inside Sales group. The candidate must also demonstrate outstanding communication skills (both oral and written), and have experience in conducting a sales effort in an organized and effective manner. Candidates should illustrate a technical aptitude and an ability to think creatively for satisfying customer requirements. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE The candidate must possess a 2 year technical or business degree (or equivalent experience in similar roles and with an engineered products company). Computer literacy and competencies in all of the following Microsoft products are required: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher, and Outlook. Experience with ERP/MRP systems along with CRM systems is required. Professional verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally be required to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to perform this job in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. SUPERVISION Responsible for leading and developing a team of 4-8 associates. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel overnight would be rare, but could be required.
