About the RoleInsight Global is seeking a transformative IT leader for a not-for-profit client as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or Vice President of IT. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for reshaping our IT department, aligning technology with organizational goals, and leading a team through a period of strategic change and modernization. The selected candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team and will work closely with the SVP of Benefits and other department heads. This is a hybrid, 3 days onsite position and candidates must be able to work on our client's W2 without sponsorship.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & OversightLead and restructure the IT department, consolidating two current leadership roles into one cohesive, high-impact position. Set and execute a clear IT vision aligned with organizational goals. Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development, and business systems. Translate business needs into scalable, sustainable technology solutions. Operational ExcellenceManage IT budgets, vendor relationships, service agreements, and procurement. Review and update IT policies, ensuring compliance and security best practices. Drive adoption and integration of AI tools and emerging technologies. Team Development & CultureLead a team of ~20 IT professionals, including 3–4 managers/directors. Build a cohesive, collaborative, and high-performing IT team.

Provide mentorship, performance management, and professional development. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Project & Change ManagementOversee all IT projects, ensuring milestones are met and investments yield results. Address legacy challenges and skill gaps within a long-tenured team. Serve as a working manager—strategic yet hands-on when needed. Ideal Candidate ProfileProven experience in IT executive leadership (CTO, VP of IT, or Director of IT). Strong background in oversight of all Technology functions including: DevOps, Systems Architecture, Infrastructure, Data Reporting, IT Project Management and Cybersecurity.

Demonstrated success in leading organizational change, especially in environments with legacy systems and long-tenured staff. Skilled in vendor management, budgeting, and contract negotiations. Ability to communicate complex technology to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in non-profit, association, or mission-driven organizations is a plus. Comfortable working in a smaller, collaborative environment with a hands-on leadership style. Compensation: $150,000 to $220,000 per year annual salary + Hiring Bonus/Relocation Package. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
