Installation Engineer

Role Summary :Plan and execute clean, repeatable installations and upgrades of Informatica components across environments, ensuring prerequisites, hardening, and handover are airtight.Key Responsibilities:•Assess prerequisites (OS, ports, kernel params, repository DB schemas); produce install plans and checklists.•Perform fresh installs, upgrades, and hotfixes for PowerCenter, IDQ, MDM/360, EDC/Axon, and IICS Secure Agents.•Configure domains, repositories, grids, connections, and scanners/metadata ingestion jobs (for EDC).•Script and automate installs/config (silent installs, response files) and post-install validation.•Implement security baselines (accounts/roles, TLS, cert rotation) and performance baselines.•Conduct operational handover with detailed runbooks, topology diagrams, and rollback plans. Required Skills:5–7 years performing enterprise software installs/upgrades; 3+ with Informatica stack.Strong OS/DB fundamentals, networking, storage concepts, and scripting.Experience with container/VM provisioning, and familiarity with cloud networking when deploying Secure Agents.CI/CD for platform rollouts
