With a commitment to disciplined portfolio management and personalized client service, we are growing our reach across Canada and are looking for a motivated professional to join our team.Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Investor Relations Associate to join our team. This Canada-based role will work closely with Matco’s Portfolio Managers and Marketing team to drive new business opportunities, enhance investor communications, and elevate the firm’s national presence.The ideal candidate brings a blend of financial services experience, entrepreneurial initiative, and strong interpersonal skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about connecting investors with investment solutions while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect & Pipeline Development·Research and build a prioritized list of prospective institutional clients (Investment advisors, financial planners. Non-Profit organizations, pension plans, endowments, foundations, consultants, multi‑family offices, etc.)·Maintain detailed activity records and opportunity stages in CRMOutbound Engagement·Initiate outreach (in person, phone, email, LinkedIn) to decision‑makers, articulating Matco’s value proposition confidently and clearly·Build and maintain media relationships·Schedule introductory calls for qualify leads, setup in‑person or virtual meetings with the Portfolio ManagersEvent & Webinar Execution·Plan, coordinate, and host client webinars, lunch‑and‑learns, and small‑format round‑tables featuring Matco Mutual Funds·Own the logistics (invitations, platform setup, follow‑up) to ensure flawless delivery and strong attendance·Collaborate with Marketing and Compliance to keep materials current and on‑message·Relay prospect feedback and competitive intelligence to PMs and Marketing, helping refine product positioning and roadmapRelationship Stewardship·Serve as an articulate, enthusiastic ambassador for Matco at conferences and industry events·Provide timely, proactive service to prospects and existing institutional clients; coordinate with Operations and Compliance to resolve queriesQualifications·2–4 years of experience in sales, investor relations, or client service within investment management or wealth advisory·Strong understanding of investment products, fund structures, and Canadian investor channels·Proven track record with institutional, non-profit, pension plans and multi-family offices·Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to self-direct and contribute to firm-wide growth initiatives·Proven ability to build relationships and generate leads through cold outreach and professional networking·Proficient in CRM platforms (Salesforce) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator·Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail·Experience planning and executing webinars, roadshows, or events with investment professionals·Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field·Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) required; CIM or CFA designation is an asset What We Offer·Competitive compensation including base salary and performance incentives·A supportive and entrepreneurial team environment·Direct exposure to senior Portfolio Managers and firm-wide strategy·Comprehensive benefits and support for continuing education and professional development To ApplyPlease submit your resume and a short cover letter to careers@matcofinancial.ca with the subject line: Institutional Investor Relations.
